A private university and a corporate partner have created an SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) to lead a high-impact campus expansion project in Lusaka. The SPV is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure responsible fiscal management across the project's lifespan.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and donor reports
- Monitor project spending and ensure alignment with financial plans
- Oversee payroll, statutory returns, and tax compliance
- Coordinate audits and ensure internal controls are in place
- Supervise financial recordkeeping and transactions
- Advise leadership on cost optimization and risk management
- Ensure compliance with SPV, institutional, and regulatory frameworks
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA certification is a strong advantage
- 5+ years of relevant experience in financial/project management
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, ERP)
- Experience managing funds from donors, private investments, or development projects
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of Zambian tax laws and compliance standards
